HVNTER – You Don’t Know Me EP
It seems like eons since we were reviewing an acoustic ep by new comer Jamie Willets. Since then he has morphed and matured into a fine 21st century pop act. This EP demonstrates HVNTER’s ability to operate with ease at different levels whether it be with ballads such as the exquisite “Care for You” or the criminally short “Lost and Found”. He can also storm the dance floor with tracks such as the strident introspection of “Drink to Forget” or “You Don’t Know Love” which HVNTER wrote after his own coming out experience. His aim was to create a song that embodied a shared experience and celebrated freedom and in the process he’s created a new LGBT+ anthem. HVNTER has come a long way since his acoustic beginnings and in the process he’s found himself and is making music that is authentic, sophisticated and entirely accessible. The dance floor, radio play and festivals lie ahead.
