This year's festival takes place over 4 days in Cardiff 20 th - 23 rd October. With over 100 different artists appearing we thought we would pick out a daily recommendation for you.

Thursday 20 th October:

Elephant Stone @ Clwb Ifor Bach

The band was named after a Stone Roses track that should give you some idea what to expect. Jangly guitar powerpop from Canada.

Friday 21 st October

Man Without Country @ Cardiff University supporting the Joy Formidable

Already causing a stir in the national press this band from south Wales are on the verge of slow build anthemic greatness.

Saturday 22 nd October

Daughter - Chapter Arts Centre supporting Benjamin Francis Leftwich hosted by newsoundwales.

Talented young singer song writer from the Communion label with a debut album due in November. She is already making waves having supported John Grant on his recent UK tour.

Sunday 23 rd October

Ben Howard - venue tbc

An excellent guitarist and fine singer from Devon and destined to be one of the big hitters at this year's festival although his debut album on Island Records ' Every Kingdom ' isn't out until October.
